From maritime forests to historical museums and landmarks, and quaint fishing villages to the largest sand dune on the east coast you better pack comfortable shoes.
You are going to be standing on the edge of the continent on a barrier island with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Sound on the other. You may need to book extra days.
Take a relaxing walk along the waterfront where you will discover restaurants, shops and maritime museums.
Like I said, book extra days. The fall is the BEST time of year to see it all. Plus I heard there's an American Daylily Society meeting on Roanoke Island ....Auction? Did somebody say Daylily Auction?
